Lots of divers showing up on the bay and I still see some greenwings early in the mornings.

Saw several hundred at St. Marks' Saturday. Had a mature drake Redhead about 30-40 yards in front of me. Fumbled around trying to locate the camera to take a pic, but made too much noise and off it flew.

Can you duck hunt the Panacea area?

I thought you said you were gonna go scout. I didn't know you meant cyberscout. ;-)

Went gigging and saw some flounder, redfish, sheephead and mullet last night but only 2 buffies back in Oyster Bay. We didn't stick them.

Nope, no ducks go there. Ever. Not worth hunting. Tides are murder too, oyster bars, mud flats, bad mojo for outboards and duckboats.

I use to tell people the same thing but I've come to find that if I take them with me or if they go on their own, most never go back. Too hard on the equipment and the body.

But I have found some good die-hard duck hunters that love the coast.
