How will the rising cost of gas affect your gulf fishing trips from now on?

I can pull my boat to Aucilla for $27 right now at today's prices. Usually can get by in the boat with no more than 2 gallons if I travel a lot.

I could afford once a week on my allowance easy enuff.

Boat around 40 miles $47.00 4500 rpm 30 MPH about 3 mpg.

( a buck a mile )

Truck around 225 miles towing a boat, $75.00 about 12 mpg.

( $.25 a mile )

Renew a non resident license for a year $52.00

( a buck a week)

Making my buddy get out of the boat to get my Skitterwalk I told him not to throw up on that Oyster bar.

Kayak, no gas except to get to the water.

Old fat and lazy I would look like a Buffalo on a Bumble bee.

I have no interest in a dirt bike either.

Two Grouper trips and two trips on the river and I just used the $20 worth of fuel I put in the boat "around 6 1/2 gallons" and about the same amount for the truck

The gas doesn't bother me as much as the time down and back.

Next to nothin. I bought a little 25hp on a 15 footer and it costs about 15.00 every third trip. Had the big boats, you can keep em I like gettin back in the shallows.

When it gets to 4-5 bucks a gallon...yes. Now no.

fifty bucks a trip is still worth the chance to be alone on the water
