Fished Carrabelle Saturday with Mudcat from Jacksonville and started out slow in the high winds and moving tide, but the wind started dying down and we came across a school of small Reds. I picked up a few small ones and this hard fighting mullet that I fouled hooked. Mudcat grabbed a small flounder and we picked up a few small trout, and one that measured 20" but was fat as a 28". We went out on the flats off the Dog Island Airport and I hooked a nice 28" Red on a Tye Smith Rig with the new 5.5" DOA jerkbaits in Glow. I got them at Advantage Marine, and they are tough. Anyway we didn't have a net and Mudcat grabbed my leader and it broke. I said yea, its 10 lb test. WHY! He said, and I said I fish out of a kayak, and don't have to lift them into a boat. They just slide right in.
Enjoy.

Looks like a fun day. That TSR is a hard rig to beat. I caught some trout yesterday from the hill with it.

They have several but the boat I was on is docked there. You can drive from Lanark and cross the bridge in Carrabelle and turn left after the big Boatel. Follow that road around over the small creek and there is one boatr ramp at the end of that road, and another if you turn left after crossing that little creek and go into the marina. There are some on the Lanark side too, I'm just not familiar with them.

I was thinking about you Barhopr when I was sitting on those Reds and you were sitting on the fifty yard line.
