NW of Middlegrounds 12/3 Report

Did a 3 day spearfishing trip NW of the middlegrounds and did some H&L at night. We were fishing depths of 140-170 for the first couple hours of dark. My buddy Dan caught this monster gag night fishing with a 4/0 and a beeliner fillet. Fish weighed 53.5lbs gutted. His second H&L gag over 50lbs in about a year...this guy is a hardcore fishing SOB. Couldn't really get them to chew during the day but the night bite was HOT!!!
Also my buddy Carl caught this ~30lber on a 30lb test mango rod...C'mon!!!
