Hooked a ride with Sea Gurl today. Launched her boat about 9:30. The water was LOW! Headed out the mouth of the river and turned left. Bump, Bump, Bump! Think we need to go a little further out (I was driving). Went out past the stake line and turned left. Ran to near the designated starting spot and backed off to an idle. Good thing I did. There's a small piece missing out of Sea Gurl's skeg, now.
Headed in to an area I've had success on a low tide before. They were there. However, they wouldn't eat. We saw reds tailing all over the place. But, when presented a bait, most left that part of the world.
Sea Gurl drew first blood with a red she said she was embarrased to have a picture made with.
Not long after, I caught one about the same size.
We kept moving and chunking and Sea Gurl came up with another fish. This one was a little better.
When the tide got up high enough to get in close, all action stopped. The mullet quit moving, as well as the reds. Also the wind picked up. We called it quits about 4:30, and headed for the hill.
Not the best day I've ever had, but not the worst.
I appreciate the ride, Sea Gurl. I enjoyed the company, and the day. I look forward to doing it again.

dang TC, your getting better fishing partners now that you don't have a boat. Nice to see that seagirl is doing her good deed by helping out the shut-ins.

It's rough not having a boat. But it's nice to have folks that'll let me tag along.

I'm supposed to be over there at 10 tomorrow to pick my boat up. If I didn't have a job tomorrow afternoon, I'd show up.

Very nice TC.

You're not the only one who had trouble with those skinny water fish today.

Does nobody notice that he slips this in without admitting that a girl whooped his butt?

Well I see Tincan just HAD to do this post. I was hoping he would have a senior moment and just forget!
I just knew he was having red withdrawal without a boat and I had dreams of having a "birddog" posting complete with multiple pics so a trip was finalized and off we went.
Tincan was captaining because he knew where he wanted to go and how to get there and I'm slower and more cautious. However when I heard and felt the THUMP and said "What was that" and he
very quietly said "a rock" and I said "Was that the bottom" and he said "No a ROCK" - UH OH
It sure was pretty on the water and we were the only people for miles most of the day. However the pics say it all - lots of fishing and not much catching. They could be seen but not caught I'm just thankful for the one that messed up and ended up in the cooler!
Tincan I greatly enjoyed the company and was one whipped puppy when I got home. Those 500+ casts take a toll on a person
Looking forward to going with ya again one day - maybe I'll let ya drive too - there's plenty of skeg left
Sea Gurl
