I’m looking for two of these stone crab crackers. This cracker is called the CRABMASTER and it was manufactured in Crystal River by a company called Rodmar Manufacturing. The company is no longer in business.

If you know of one for sale I would very much appreciate the information.
(I’ve borrowed a friend’s cracker for these photos with the original box).

Brian, I saw one (or something very similar) on Rick Murphey's last show when he went bottom fishing on the ????? Flyer out of Miami. They were cracking stone crabs on the deck during the ride in. Looked like it worked pretty well. My dinner table has some serious gouges from trying to crack those suckers. Pleae let me know if you are able to locate some of these that are for sale.

You're right about them being proud. I'm with RF there are cheaper ways to get at it.

RF and MD. I've tried both approaches and the stone crabs claws will surrender to either. A hammer is really hard on the table though, and the crackers bend to the point that the handles cross and they won't reopen.

The cracker Brian posted seems really easy, but for that price I'll sacrifice my table, at least the current table that is already dented.

Just print out a pic and take it to a fabricator ask how much ta build it first though

I usually take mine outside and get a good crack or two started with the hammer and then use those little crackers to finish them off outside.

I don't eat them often enough to get no fancy $200 cracker

I appreciate all the comments. For sure those Shucker crackers are expensive!! Too much for me however.

A friend pointed out a source for this cracker. Santa ordered me one and it was delivered yesterday. It just so happened that Santa was curious and opened the box. I happened to be there and got to play with it. It’s a copy of the one I posted on this thread.

If you eat a lot of stoners this cracker is really the way to go (and I’m a cheap son-of-a-dog). It’s quite a functional tool.

Can't beat it for $50. Now if I could just get my hands on some stone crab claws.
