Any nearby dealers for a panga boat?
Anybody familiar with this type boat? Looks like it might be a good creek/deep flats bost. Looking at the 18' skiff by pangamarine.

Redbelly,
My current ride is a 22' Pangamarine Marquesas. Here are some pics...
Bought directly from the factory in Sarasota. My fishing bud, Sharkman, got the 18 foot skiff a few months ago and also bought from the factory. Here's a pic I hope he doesn't mind me sharing of his setup...
In both of our cases, we walked Pangamarine through customizing our boats and were happy with the results. In both cases, Pangamarine delivered our boats up to the big bend area and with no additional costs to previously negotiated total package prices -- even went out on initial rides to ensure all was ok with the boats.
While Sharkman and I both like to target reds and trout, I like about a 60/40 mix of midshore to shallow where his preferred ratio is likely the other way around so we both have boats we really like. His setup is a bit simpler and cleaner, and provides a sweet light ride that only takes a 50hp to push it around 35mph. Mine rides a bit steadier through really heavy chop but is also quite a bit heavier and thus I use a 90hp to push me right at 35mph. I also use trim tabs and a jack plate to tweak my ride where he doesn't have quite as much need.
We both agree that the flared bow sure has proven to make for remarkably dry rides... for a bit more info on my view of the pros/cons you can read through the following post...

THE PANGA IS A GREAT BOAT TO FISH FROM, PLENTY OF ROOM ALL OVER THE BOAT. I HAVE ONLY FISHED OUT OF ONE, 18 ' , VERY STABLE BOAT AND RIDES GREAT. WE ONLY HAD SWELLS ABOUT 2 ' BUT SHE DID GOOD AT FULL THROTTLE.
