Got in the water about 8:30 Sat. morning. Long drive from Eufaula, Al. Fished toward the paper mill from Presnell's for about 30 min.. Caught one 16" spec on Yozuri minnow. A little voice in my head said move to the head of the bay near the radio tower, so here I went. Fishing a shrimp color stingray grub under a CT next to the grass islands. First drift, one red fish 24" and a couple of misses. Next drift, 30" red and a couple of misses. When all was said and done, boated 4 reds all of which were in the slot except for the 30 ". 11:30 am they stopped and changed my focus to the trout. Started my drift in about 5' of water and finished up in about 2'. Using a Zoom suoer flook in the 5' water with a small split shot about a foot up. Did well there. However the better fishing was in the 3 foot range stiil fishing the stingray grub under the CT. Only change made was the length od the leader to about 30". By 3:00 I had caught about 15 trout and had 5 nice keepers, one going 22". Tide fell, I showered, and proceeded to Indian Pass Raw Bar. Man what a crowd  . Sundy awoke to almost no wind :( . Still managed four nice keeper trout with one going 25" and about 10 shorts. Avery productive weekend and some very much needed therapy...

Thanks. Sounds like you had a good day also. When that wind died on Sunday, it seemed that the fish could see everything that was going on. I had alot of interest, but no takers on the reds. Looking for a good recipe for grilling the reds, any suggestions?
