Jacksonville paprtyboat 12/29/07

Post by Breambuster »

Went out on the King Neptune partyboat in Jacksonville with my two best fishing buddies, Calvin and David. David was busy all day catching our share of snapper and Calvin filled our stringer with beeliners .... while I was busy playing a tourist (taking pictures). It was rather slow on the first 2 stops but the beeliner and snapper started chewing when we moved to deeper water.

Calvin with a double header of keeper beeliners.

Most of the keeper were nice szie

He also caught his first ever red hind or strawberry grouper - his favorite eating fish

And his first keeper ARS - has to be 20'' in the Atlantic (I'm so proud of him)

David put 3 snappers on the stringer while I only managed one. He also caught this stud lane snapper, the biggest I have ever seen.

Needless to say, the two were worn out at the end of the day

This is what we brought home (5 snapper, 1 lane, and about a dozen beeliners)

An obligatory tourist post with our catch

BTW, the jackpot was won by 2 identical size grey that were just shy of 20lb. Here's a pict of one of the jackpot fish (good job Mike!)
