I would value your opinion.

[What a mess]

I would like to have a thread about your personal feelings on two things one is on this forum the other is about harvesting fish in general.
I do not desire to inspire a debate personal attacks or gender strife both are real questions I would like to hear your voice on.

1st There is another fishing forum when someone posts he is put through a guntlet everyone asults thier charecter and integrity accusations fly if there were no photos. Photoshop is hollered if there is one. Personally I found this to be very unpleasent and quit going to the forum almost alltogeather.


Do enjoy this type of smashing, bashing, drama, do you think it adds to the overall quality of this forum?

Personally I don't. I think it detracts from the quality and enjoyment that I recieve from this forum in a large way.


2nd I cacth large bass and will not keep them so I do get the concept of preserving fish stocks. I on the other hand have caught and kept large Cobia off the markers (pre - spawn) large Sheaphead in the winter on Cedar Key reef etc.. I keep large specs and Bream. What species is worthy of respect and which is not, what do you believe?

Part A, Where and how do you draw the line what is your personal ethics?

Part B, Does this change when you fish a tourney?

Part C, Why?

Part D, Does it change by species if yes why?

Again I am not looking for a debate only your personal feelings please do not try to impose your feelings just share them.

Enough of this stuff. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and if they aren't yours they stink. We get it. Some folks like vanilla, some folks like rocky road. Others will debate forever about which one is better.

The forum was created to teach folks how to make ice cream, not which flavor is better. Get me?
