Was looking over the selections of lures at JR's, the chug bug comes in 2 sizes, which one is preferred and which color, or does it matter?

I have a chrome and blue, well it used to be chrome and blue, trout gnawed some of it off

. I have both sizes, both have produced well over the years. There is a new on out called a Knuckle head made by Creek Chub, it has a jointed head. It is on my list to get.
Rattlin' Chug Bug comes in 2 1/2 & 3 1/2
Rattlin' Saltwater Chug Bug comes in 3 1/2 & 4 1/2

Actually they come in 3 sizes, tiny, small and large. I like the middle one that is about 4" long. The big one is about 6" long. I know some guys who swear by the real small one for summertime.
As for color I have always like the red/white, chartruese, and the black and gold. They just came out with a new green over gold that I've caught a few fish on. I have done very well on redfish with the black and gold.

I am real partial to the 3/8 oz. in white/red Chug Bug. It's about 3 1/2 inches long. Chalk, the Knuckle Head is made by "Creek Chub" and is 5 inches long, and weighs 1 1/2 oz. That's a little large for my preferance. Wish they made a smaller version, looks good.

I have a box full of them, but mostly use a black and silver one, bigger the better, and I also use Topdawgs, big ones too, I sort of just sling them. Been catching all my big trout on Topdawgs, just love topwater...
