Went to the Mound at first light and sat in the cold 35 deg F air and felt a nice 10 mph wind blowing across the pond as I waited for three hours with Nolediver. The tide started moving in and I went East. I did nothing til Noon, no trout, no reds. I heard some other kayakers east of me and they were catching lots of Reds on the Oyster bars. Heck there were some productive bars about 50 yards away so I suited up for Reds and gave up the pursuit for trout. I started catching Reds and nice ones on gold spoons and Pink Popa Dog topwater lure. I stopped counting at around 15 and just got tired of catching them after a while. It was a blast. The reds were around the Oyster Bars next to shore, and fish were also next to the grass. Funny thing is when you got the Reds in the boat, they would curl up. Everyone of them. They were very lethargic too.
