Meat in the freezer!

Post by Dubble Trubble »

Wife and I headed out of Econfina this am as soon as the water came in. It was a little low

Image

Headed out the river and was met at the mouth with a solid wall of fog. I had to scramble to load up a bread trail to follow out. Could not see the tripod until we were about 50 ft away.

Image

Had to run 10 mph for about 45 minutes, came up on a crab pot boat (that was fun in the fog) :smt009
Finally, the fog lifted enough to open it up and we started trolling around 12:30 pm.

Hit a few holes, caught 2 at 24 inches, than tried a little bottom fishing, nada. Fun of the day was when we hooked up this 30 incher and he was a fighter. My wife brought him in, but made me hold him for the photo.

Headed in at 4pm because we were not sure about the fog, and we could still see a line of fog to the west that appeared to be coming in.

As you can see, we could run WOT back on the water, so we were loaded up by 5pm.

We Met Dawghouse1 at the ramp this morning, he was heading out to find some reds....

It was good to meet you DT. That picture doesn't do that fish justice cause he looked a lot bigger in person.
