I got a rare Saturday off so I loaded up my 9 y.o. son and headed to the coast. We launched from the LH around 8:45 a.m. and were soon headed out the LH canal. Man it was brisk this morning. And shallow.

Took a while to get into position this morning with the wind, low water, and cool temps, but once we did the redfish bite was on.

Ended a short day with 5 reds to 26" all caught on the gold spoon.

Back on the trailer by 2:30.

Can't wait til next time.

FF...all those reds came off the flats 2.5'-1'. With the low water this morning I was a good 500 yds offshore.

No idea what the H2O temp was.
