A new kind of fishing report

Here is the plan. One can forecast fishing plans. Then after the fishing trip post another report to compare the plans with the actual report.

Here is mine:

Feb. 9, 2008. The NFGFC Redfish tournament. Low Tide 9:22am (-0.5) High around 3:30pm (3.4)

I plan to launch at St. Marks. Will fish some spots in the river untill 9:30 am using a Bone Diamond colored grub with a 1/4 oz. head.

As the tide starts to come in I will use this time to relocate from the river and run east 5 to 7 miles and fish along the hill. Here I will throw top water until the tide has risen to about 2.5 feet. Then I will finish the day throwing my Jerk Bait.

I will post the fishing part of the report this weekend. :-)

Snatch and I are going to launch at the Aucilla. We’ll probably break off a foot going through the West Pass. We’ll run aground and stay there for 4 hours waiting on the tide to come back in. We’ll probably get muddy and cold trying to push the boat out of the mud.

Once the tide comes back in, we’ll fish in shallow around oyster bars and the grass in creeks. Snatch will catch one that’s about 26 7/8” on a topwater and I’ll catch one that is 19”, but with 26 spots. Mine will be caught on a light jighead with a 5” Gulp jerkshad.

We’ll drive back to the weigh-in and taunt jsuber and collect our winnings. :smt004

I will be taking the same approach as you Mr. Smith. I will be putting in at the Fort and running up the Wakulla River fishing with a suspending, mullet colored, mirror lure. We will then run to the mouth of the St. Marks and bounce Salt and Pepper Smoke and chartruese jigs. From there we will make a run east and fish the shoreline with spooks and gold bombers.

I look forward to seeing you on the water.

I'll be stuck next to Casey and Pat in the morning... when we get free it sounds like we'll be meeting up with everyone else around 1.

Maybe we should just do weigh in around Grey Mare so everyone can get a little time to fish on high tide?

Butch and I will launch at the SM lighthouse. Then run to Oyster Bay. Nothing there so we go to Bald Point. Nothing there. Then we go to Turkey Point. Nothing there. Time is running out,so we go to SGI bridge for a sheephead.Catch 1 short SH. Head back to the weigh in. Get there on time.
Eat lots of good food. Win a Falcon Rod in the drawing.
Can't wait 'til next time.

I'll be pulling out of Jerrys Bait and tackle at 6:00 or so and fishing with a gold spoon for Redfish. If I get lucky I may try to look for a sheephead. I'll return ot Jerry's at 15:00

Thanks Ty One On. I will be fishing with the Hill boy's (Bryce and Blake). We will probably run into each other throughout the day as it seems that we will be fishing similar areas. Been lately?
