6:20am, loaded and ready to go. Check the weather and reports first.
Came across a video from NF.
Now I'm somewhere between ready to run through a wall,
or just going back to bed.
I'll report later.
Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.

Nole,

How long does the battery last on your video camera? I looked up a review of the camera and it said that one of the drawbacks was a very short battery life. Just wondering if you've ever had these problems or if you had a backup battery that you always took with you? Basically, why'd you decide on the camcorder that you chose?

Casey, plan on buying an extra long life battery with the camera. I read the reviews and saw the same complaints about the stock battery. I used the camera on one fishing trip before I realized the reviewers were right. I bought an extra battery on ebay for $30 or $40 and thing lasts forever. I have never used the stock battery again.

Notwithstanding the battery issue, the camera is great for what I want to do with it. The hard drive is a huge plus if you don't want to deal with media. Also, Consumer Reports had it as its top rated mid priced video camera.

The built in hard drive and the favorable reports convinced me to buy.

Thanks Nole and BH for the help! I'm interested in stepping up my game to include video reports. They certainly do add to the report. If y'all have any other suggestions, I'll gladly take them.
