Fished the tournament with Katie, Boo and my a friend of mine. Started off by going in a creek near the river and popping out the other side next to CC and SNR. Saw several fish, but nothing of size wanted our lures.

We left that area and headed west. Tried to get into a creek there, but the water was too low. We pushed the boat, played with the pup and waited, knowing if we could get close a good trounament fish would be near.







It took the tide a longer than anticipated to come in, but when it did it came rushing. Boo was tired and quiet, so the real fishing was ready to commence



Matt quickly boated an 18", but we didn't work that hard for a bottom slot fish. Was we started down the shoreline towards a creek mouth I hooked the fish we had been looking for, 26" with shoulders. Unfortunately while fighting it we drifted into the creek and couldn't get out. Not enough water to get the prop of the outboard under water, and the trolling motor couldn't fight the tide and wind with only half of its prop under. We were stuck. We finally got out of the creek and put the hammer down. Ran the 40HP about 32mph with three people on board. Packed up the boat and hulled to JBT. Arrived about 15 minutes late and we had missed weigh in, just catching the tail end of the raffel. I was a little distraught untill Mr. Cobb provided me with some of the food he had prepared, and that helped settle me down. Thanks Larry. Katie and I ended up smoking my fish (the first time I've tried smoking a red) and it came out great. Great day on the water with good company, just took a little too long to get back.... can't wait for Keaton.

Good day buddy...sucks about running late for the weigh-in. You'll get 'em at Keaton. Pat and I were definitely disappointed that we didn't hear any barking early on Saturday morning.

Did you apply for the extension? Good seeing you all.

Suber, I didn't ask for any extentions, but the reason we left biting fish to return (rather than contuing to fish) was I thought there was a weight deduction policy. When I asked the powers that be if we could still get a fish weighed I was told I was out of luck....

Tournament conclusion time will be determined for each individual tournament. At least one member of each team must check in with the Tournament Director by the designated conclusion time. Any team that checks in late will be penalized as follows: Up to 5 minutes late- 10% of weight of each fish. Over 5 minutes to 15 minutes late- 25% of weight of each fish. Over 15 minutes to 30 minutes late- 50% of weight of each fish. Over 30 minutes late- no credit for the days catch.

What's the deal? Can my team at least get credit for the last place fish giving us the 10 extra points. Most people saw us pull in 15 minutes late. No big deal, just curious.

Saw you guys out there playing with Boo waiting on water. We were playing the same waiting game as you...water just never came.

That red looks just as good at the house as it would have at the weigh-in. Nice job
