My self and Onekeeper went of Enky pretty early with a Q-beam this past Firday looking for some Reds for Saturday and found Thirteen of them with 3 in the 26+ range. Water was falling out quick, I had a little rock pile that is about a mile off shore and the Reds where all over it. The bait of choice for one keeper was a spoon and mine was a new rig I was trying called a Gulp,,,you might have heard of it, I had it rigged on a 1/16th Mustad waited hook that works smoothhh. Now, what my ? is to all you die hard Red fisherman is What the @!$k happen to the Reds I found the day before,,,,no change in weather, the tide was pretty close to the same and water temp was the same the only thing that wasn't the same was the fishing

Jeff, pre-fishing is just an excuse to go fishing 2 days in a row. Other than that it usually doesn't help much. Also generally you beat up your fish when pre-fishing that you plan to catch on tourney day.

Your 1st mistake was banking on 1 spot. You needed 20 proven redfish spots to fish on Saturday. You gotta keep moving and shaking. Didn't you boys pay attention to Bill on Thursday?

I'll take you and Chuck sometime and try to learn you boys how to catch reds. All I ask is you send me the numbers for that redfish rock.

Fish have fins, fish are only interested in three things: eating, staying alive and mating...well it's not mating season...food is not brought to them, the food around that rock was eaten and they moved on to find something else to eat ....easy as 123 :-D

I take the mating part back...the redfish I cleaned sunday had row starting to form in them...so they are looking for love

Looking for fish with a Q beam :smt005 :smt005

Remember what Pat McGriff says. If they bite today like they bit yesterday, there wouldn't be any left cause the commercial fisherman would have gotten them all.

Well Trouttrent almost hit it right, the only thing different Saturday is the tide never came in enough for us to get to our other 19 spots  . We tried for almost 2 hours to get to a spot that we caught a couple gooduns on friday but no water, not sure why the water never came back  . We even had a slight breeze outta the south/east. But I never claimed to be a Redfisherman--- Come on Trout season.

NFGFC paid more than $130 for 3rd place. Not to mention $470 for 20 spots on a red.

Chalk, Jumptrout51 is old, and at times talks through his lower rear orifice. I announced the dollar amounts when I handed out the money. Third place was $120.

That said, I'm hurt. Cut to the bone, to think you would ever doubt ANYTHING I say or do. I'm even more hurt that you would take something Jumptrout51 says over something I say. This is causing me much mental anguish. I may never recover from this. :bang_1 :smt022 :smt100 :smt101 :smt118 :smt119 :smt120
