I really like all the Redfish tournaments that they've made into tv shows...ESPN, IMO, does the best job as they follow all five boats on the final day as does the FLW Tour. I wish the IFA would follow more than just one boat per tournament...hopefully they will for the Championship.

If Chalk and Birddog are not featured I could not bear to watch.

I watched it even though Chalk and BD were not features.
It was great the way the competitors would call one another over when one of them got on the fish. Now that is just downright sportsmanship.

When I lived in Virginia we would monitor 68 & 72 on the VHF and put each other on fish. I've noticed folks don't use their radios as much around here.

I didn't get to watch the show yesterday...however, from your description it sounds like the team was violating rule #12 of the IFA rules:
12. INFORMATION: Tournament anglers may share information with each other up to and after competition hours. However, no communication whatsoever is allowed via cell phone, VHF radio, pager or any electronic device during competition, except for medical emergency as allowed under rule #20, or boat breakdown under rule #13.
Were they?

No, they weren't using electronic devices. There were 8 boats fishing the same area. One team got on the fish. Once they got their two, they started waving/yelling the others over. They basically were in a semi circle around the school. Was nice that once they all got their 2 fish, they voted to lay down the rods and move on to take some pressure off the fish. Be interesting to see if the fish are still there for day two.

Yep, it's against the rules to call or vhf team boats during the tournament...it's suppose to be a boat tournament not a team of boats, keeps it competitive

Eerman is right Casey. It was Hand Command, not electronic.
At least none of the boats moved in on another boat without permission, whether they were in the tournament or not.
