Fish finders

My HumminBird has seen better days and will need to be replaced. Can anyone recommend a quality fishfinder that is affordable. I have a good GPS unit, so just a basic sonar unit is all I need. My budget is $300 or less. Thanks

Garmin has several good units in that price range.

I hope to upgrade in the near future, so let us know what you pick up.

I'm in the market for a new fishfinder, too. My old one is showing me fish that aren't there and I can't get a good reading on what type of bottom is under me. About all I can depend on it to tell me is how deep I am. My budget is best-bang-for-the-buck at less than $200.
