I know someone who got one and I'm just waiting on them to respond.

Probably $250 for each offense, meaning for each grouper you were in possession of. But a guilty plea in court would most likely get them reduced.

Correction, a plea agreement with the prosecutor can get it reduced The judge generally follows the recomendation of the prosecutor

I am betting a good lawyer could get it thrown out, since the publicity about it has been confusing to say the least. HOWEVER,the attorney would probably cost more than the fine.....

Stay my arse inside the 9 mile line. $250.00 is alot of grouper sandwichs.

That & if you get caught a second or third time they can take away your fishing privledges permanently. Most states are linked now too & they could prevent you from getting a license in another state as well.
