Will There Be Fish on the Cape After March?

Well the dredging is soon to begin on Cape San Blas in March. I understand the need for the revitalization process. But for us fisherman, how do you anticpate this will affect the surf fishing. Ladyfish, whiting, bluefish, tarpon; how will the sightfeeders react in your opinion? Will the fish move out away from the murkier water into the colorchange? The noise couldn't be a good thing either. Is this a "bite the bullet" situation where I will just need to throw out a line and hope for the best?
Thanks for your thoughts

Dredging
I saw it happen first hand in my home town of St. Augustine Bch, it change really good surfing and fishing spots and made them into crap. Necessary maybe, but it's not good for the ocean, just not right.

The project will add an additional 150' or so from stump hole down to the state park area. The fill is being transported from 3 dredge sites out in the gulf back to the beaches. Everyone will suffer a little bit until the project is over in October, but it is not hurting the gulf one bit and will only help the surf fishing once the project is completed. Driving around the stump hole area will also be made possible again, so all in all this is a very worth while project!!!

No, they are bringing in the fill sand from 3 sites offshore and filling in the beach all the way out to the first sandbar.

I don't think so, I work for the engineering firm doing the project and have been trying to keep up with it. If I find out where some info is I will pass it on.

thanks for the info. fellas
Baygator good to know about the logistics, I hope your right about the overall effect; however I've only heard bad things about areas that have been dredged. Sand flea populations destroyed, the whole food chain out of wack, lets hope things stay as good as they have for so long.
A beauty of a place that cape is. Let's hope big hammers and bulls stick around too
