Local Business- Blaines Rod and Reel Repair @ Kevin's

Just wanted to give a shout out for the new guy who took over Bill Colson's rod repair at Kevin's...His name is Blaine Cort, he was Bill's "assistant" for many years and bought out Bill's interest in the business.
Blaine is one of the nicest guys in Tallahassee, is honest, and takes pride in his work. He does the work at his home, so this is a little different than what Bill did. In fact, it's a positive change in that Kevin now allows anglers to drop their reels off and pick them up from the fishing department.
He does some beautiful rods also- he built a tough amberjack rod for me a few years ago that serves as my "broomstick" for my 9/0, and it still looks and fishes great!
Give him a shot- he has fixed reels for me that I was ready to throw in the trash, and has a jillion parts that he bought out from Bill to do the work. Ask Lynn at Kevin's about Blaine's work- he'll vouch for him too...Alan Richardson
