Steve my fishing buddy and I got to a local pit around 8am this morning it was frosty with a little wind blowing, started fairly bright with sleet falling on and off for the 3 or so hours we were there, I had 2 follows on a Pink "Zoota Pikie" lure, Steve had 3 fish on and landed 2 of them, using a mini dawg and a 4 inch grub tail on a lead head, the first fish had more leeches on it than I have ever seen on a single fish so it had been laying up in the cold conditions although both fish put up a good fight and didn't just "come in" lethargic, which is what I would have expected in the cold, they also swam off swiftly.
Good fishin LEECHES I aint seen one of them in a long time
