I've had some rod breakage problems lately and am a little agravated with my current brand. They are $100 + rods . I know there are a lot of different applications for offshore rods but is there any particular brands that anyone has had good luck with. Endurance/action/cost being three key considerations.
Thanks, Pirate

Ther are alot of offshore charters that pair Ugly Stick rods and Senators. Also Penn makes a pretty good rod. Hope this helped.

Shimano Tallus will be the only offshore rods I buy from now on. Although I do have an ugly stick BWB model that is still holding up great after 5 years.

I buy the $99 Penn Combo with the 113HS and the special boat rod. I have never had one break. I had figured that every 2 years or so, I would need a new one, but I am still on the same 2 combos I bought 5 years ago.
Right now, they are 119, but they have a $99 special on them every several months.

Rating 1-10

Cost - 8
