Thought I'd post my first report... sorry no pictures.

Got a late start out of the lighthouse around 10:30 in the pontoon and headed East a spell. Saw a lot of good grass for an hour but no fish. Headed to deeper water around the channel buoys and started throwin' some 3" yellow grubs "under the thunder" (love that term). Immediately things started turning around got 5 macks in the boat in half an hour and 5 trout 17-21" caught a few more shorts and headed back toward the light.

Stopped one more time on the west side of the channel and hit the nursery of trout. Must have caught 15 shorts in the last 45 minutes. I did manage one more keeper while I was takin a wizz off the bow. I thought she might spit the hook as I struggled to put my boys back in my cargos. Anyway it was an excellent trip considering last Saturday.

Went home and fired up the smoker for the macks. Let'em soak in a brine with brown sugar and mustard seed. :lick: mmm awesome! Anyway... hope y'all got'em this weekend.

Nice trip and report, but be careful out there, multi-tasking is for work not fishing! :-D
