TAYLOR COUNTY GETS NEW RESORT ( Florida newswire)


Loof Lirpa , LLC has announced that a new fishing resort complex will be built at the mouth of the Econfina river in Taylor County Florida. The complex will feature up to ten 6 story condominium units with private boat slips. The partnership has been able to purchase land formerly known as the Econfina public ramp and the Econfina campground to build this complex. The resort will be a gated members-only resort catering to the offshore sportfisherman. Access to the gulf will be by a dredged 12 foot channel from the resort to the gulf waters.

Company president Leif Laffin has also commented that they will no longer allow public access, for liability reasons. Laffin stated “ Public ramp fishermen have easy access to a landing at the Aucilla river, with a clean clear channel there”, so there is no need for a duplicate landing here”.

Construction is expected to begin as soon as final EPA approval is done, which should be in the next few months.

Don't do that!! You really had me going! Could you imagine what a big mess that would make? Gives me the shakes thinking about it. Aucilla wouldn't be able to handle all the pressure, either.

Why would anyone think this is funny. I'm with RHTFISH, it give me the chills just thinking about it. Hopefully things will stay the same for many years to come. I love the place just like it is. Maybe all those big boats will keep chipping away at the rocks. Ha Ha, TW
