Sad times nowadays

Was just reading and saw this excerpt.
The U.S. Government Accountability Office said the Constellation program (NASA), scheduled to begin by 2015, is troubled by engineering, funding and mechanical issues.

For instance, the program was meant to use heat shielding from the 1960s Apollo program, but experts apparently could not replicate the material.

Sad when our best experts cannot even do what our boys did back in the 60's. Maybe a reflection on our lack of a decent educational system nowadays...... :smt011

Knowing our government there is probably a 8 billion dollar stock pile of the stuff in our military surplus warehouses.

Knowing our government we probably SOLD said stock pile to China for pennies on the dollor and will have to buy it back at a premium price :hammer: :hammer:

Nah..... some programer just didn't do a good job of documentation..... China's probably been using the stuff for years to produce toys and sell'n em back.... Guess that's close to Wevans take on it aint it.
