Got to the water about 11:45 with hopes of fishing the last part of the rising tide. The water was ripping and the wind was too. Started off fishing the water that was flowing around the points of a few oyster bars. Ending up catching two trout in the 16 to 19 inch range. Wanting to use the wind to my advantage I decided to move inshore, get the wind at my back and start covering some shore line making long cast. Glad I did. Within ten minutes I came across several large schools of pup reds and they were eating. Ending up catching 15 Reds in the 12 to 15 inch range along a strech of shoreline that was a few hundred yards long. I kid you not when I say I caught several right at the boat while the lure was just sitting in the water and I was adjusting my troilling motor and not paying attention. The next thing I knew my line was stretching and on the end... a 14 inch red. It happend two times. As I eased on down another boat decided to cut in line and take up spot about 100 yards away right in front of my drift, bummer. I just frowned on the inside and moved on down and around and again I'm glad I did because the fish started getting bigger. Ending up catching five more I took a few pictures but with the wind blowing I didn't want to get pushed too far so I only took a few shots.
This fish was the start of the bigger ones..

Then I caught this nice tourny Red at 26.5" and just over 6.5 lbs.

This one was sitting right where he should have been. I drug the soft plastic right through the grass on this rocky point and this guy was ready.

Can't wait until next time bait was plentyful and fish were roaming around. Saw several spanish jumping and crashing bait.
