st marks after work 4/9

Dean and Curt picked me up from work with the boat already hooked and we headed out right at 430...headed to east where weve been gettn on em and started a drift...we wanted to switch it up a little bit so we worked some top action being bc it was glass out there. caught a good bit but started seeing a bunch of action out towards the rack so we headed out there to see if we could get in the middle of some spanards.
ofcorse, 1st cast dean got a screamer on and it was a beauty..got it to the boat but fish was not done, and just about the time I tell him to quit playn with that fish and put him in the boat, fish says bye-bye
...I know its always the huge ones that get off at the boat, but I wuda lovd to have goten a messure on this one cause he was a good 'un.
anyway, ended up puting 1 Span in the boat after numerous fights. headed back in to play with some trout and ended up with 8 keeps to a very respectable 24" monster that dean finally caught...I told him it was his time, so I let him have it- his personal best.
fished till pitch black and had a blast.

8 trout to 24"
