It does look like it would hang up easy. Grass, bottom, a big ol' fishes lip.

OK, I can report that it works very well on Bass. I just have to figure out a better way to keep the treble hook on.
TC?

Small piece of wire maybe. Does the treble fall off.

A small piece of surgical, or vinyl tubing works well. Put the tubing over the eye of the treble. Stick the worm hiik point through the tubing and the eye of the treble. Same method for keeping trailer hooks on spinner baits.

The tubing seems like it will work well. I had some fuel line left over from a weedeater repair and it is the perfect size. The problem with this rig is that you have to remove the treble hook to replace the bait.
Might have to track down some of those fancy red hooks this weekend.

Ken, how would a small piece of Fishbites work?

CS, that is a brilliant idea!!!
I think a piece about a 1/4" square would work perfectly. I am going to try it next time I get to the salt.
I'll keep using the tubing for freshwater.
