Not looking for numbers, but maybe general area and time of year. This week, Wednesday through Saturday any good? In rivers or streams or in flats or marsh. Also, for flounder and what time of the year.

Anywhere's from Ochlochnee River to Steinhatchee where there's some redfish or flounder. Hewe's Redfisher and/or Wilderness Pimlico kayak. Oh, Thanks!

Dang-it! This was kinda a lead-in to maybe get something going with someone(s) to hook-up with at least 2 of the Appalachee Bay's most avid redfishermen! Many are called -- but few are invited! Life's short! So are many fish!

Thats a broad base to launch from. My advice would be to put in at any of the area ramps , get to less than two foot of water and start chuckin' a captn Mikes spoon. Jerk shad in pearl or new penny is a good bait too. Focus on your bars that you find. At very least go to tohe shore line especially in draws, coves, and creek mouths and start chuckin. It wont take you long. Everyone has a favorite spot or two to go from but those directions will basically get you started. Good Luck.

" I was thinking, general area, time of year, and rivers, streams, flats, and marsh? Maybe even general info is too secret to share with a stranger -- I asked Chalk where that 7 pound trout was caught and he said "somewhere's in the water and in the mouth"!

The outer Oyster bars around Mashes Sands and Bald Point are great for Reds and big Trout "especially on a falling tide" I like to work a top water lure over the top of the bars Bottoms landing is also a good spot to work the shoreline for reds and the flats for Trout "you can also work your way through Skipper and Oyster Bay from there" Good luck and catchemup

Pinocchio, You ain't gonna get many people offering up much info on even general info about redfishing without you first contributing to the site.

Go fish, post some informative reports, and people will open up over time. Or if you can't wait, do a search. There is a wealth of knowledge archived on BBF.N.

All fish are caught in the water, unless they jump in the boat, then you catch them in the boat

Ya didn't recognize me 'cause I was disguised and after buyin' ya a few Natties I axed ya but you got to telling me this long hairy dog story 'bout all them little trouts you used to catch at Hickory Mound whilst slappin' at flies and skeeters and I had to leave da bar! So, that 7 pound trout jumped in ya boat! I shoulda knowed it was somethin' lik' 'at! What kinda boat was 'at? Eye's looking for a skinny watta rig (G3). Ya figger them big 'uns 'ill jump in a 16' G3?

Nope, but they do junp in my 17.5 G3 BTW, the only time I've been grounded in it, I was standing in ankle deep water when I steped out ta push it "that did't work though"
