Wondering about an Action Craft

as many of my pals on here know, Ive been looking for a second boat. I found an Action Craft 1890 SE that I think is a value for the money. Draft is 8", good stable boat, fuel efficient, easily towable. Dang good looking boat. It has many of the features of BB but not nearly as big. Any of you guys own Action Crafts? Any of you have any experience with these boats or the Vmax Yamaha motors? Any help here would be appreciated as I am supposed to go test her Thursday. Im not 100% sold on this boat but I like a lot of things about it . Im still shopping different brands even maybe a metal boat. I usually take my time in buying things and this is no different. When I see exactly what I want, Ill buy it. Not before!! Thats why I appreciate this site and you guys input. Thanks for the help.

No problem, I passed the number on to the lady that cleans my office. She says she is listed as a BBBW on craiglist and that she will rock your world

What size motor...I wouldn't take no less than a 130 on that boat...You can get a 1720 with a 130, so maybe a 150.

BB, I thougt when you said you wanted a smaller boat that you wanted a SMALL boat?? Ha Ha, I have an Alumacraft 1442 with a 15hp....that is my definition of a smaller boat. In that case, can I borrow a SMALL amount of money??

Good Luck Buddy! Holler at me and I will go wiith you to make sure it will find fish!

Sounds like you have more or less the same boat as you have now...except no T Top
Thought you wanted a quick and easy boat for the quick trips...something with a 200 isn't quick and easy IMO.

Been on the road this morning driving to Pensacola.
Yes, I love the ride of my Action Craft, Also the way it fishes. When walking around on the boat there is very little listing, it reminds me of fishing from a Ranger bass boat.
JT51, SNR, Casey Cook, One Keeper, Wevans, have all fished from mine. Ask them what they thought.

Ty's boat is sick-nasty. It hauls ass, fishes shallow and takes chop like a champ. We fished in a small craft advisory and still ran home 15 miles at 35 mph. Plus, it has lots of storage and lots of fishing room.

Chalk , thats a big step for me! BB is about about 3300 lbs full of fuel. This boat is about 1650 loaded. I said I wanted a boat that was much more efficient, not necesarily smaller. I did entertain the idea of the boats like yours and Barhopr's, but Im leaning more toward the action craft ,hewes, and maverick lines. This boat seems(with out seeing in person until Thursday) to be an exceptional; value for the price. Im hoping it is what I want, because its really perty!!! I do appreciate your opinion and your help in trying to help me find a boat. You helped me to make some informed decisions instead of trying to go about it blind. Besides, ask Birddog, thats just one more boat ya'll can borrow for the IFA tourney. I bet she'll run circles around BB!!

BB, if it's one thing this group of folks is good for it's advice. There are a lot of people here that know their stuff. I know they've helped me more than my book keeper likes to think about.
