SGI - Lanark 4.19-4.20 Late Report

Fished the east end of SGI last Saturday. Weather was horrible in the a.m. Rain, clouds, wind, the whole package. Cleared up after the front moved through, but it was still windy. Got one 26" red, one pompano, and a plethora of ladyfish on spin with a nylure. Fished the rising tide at Lanark Sunday a.m. in the kayak. No fish in shallow water whatsoever, except one bonnet head. Saw some reds in the deeper holes, but the off color water made it tough to see them before you were right on top. Got to cast to one fish that ran from the fly like it was a 5 ft bull shark. Slow weekend, but it was good to be on the water again - it's been too long. Hopefully my next post will be a little more exciting.
