Frogs in the pads on Lake Carr

I finally got rid of all the house guests yesterday afternoon and went to Lake Carr for a couple of hours. There were a lot of boats on the little lake but most of them were bream fishing except for one group of young guys water skiing. Can you believe that... on Lake Carr?
This was my first really good chance to use a SPRO frog. I have been using Zoom Horny Toads in the lily pads with pretty good success, but I thought I would try these since they float and don't get hung up so much in the pads.
Based on yesterday's experience I get the impression that the SPRO frog may be more appealing to larger fish. I caught one about four pounds. The odd thing was that she was hooked outside her mouth. That was one skinny fish.
Here is my One That Got Away story: I made one cast back into the pads and appear to have dropped the frog right on the back of a big fish. As soon as the frog hit the water the bass swirled from underneath it. I moved it a couple of times, The bass hit and I waited a second or so and set the hook. I won't speculate on how big she was but, as I reached down to lip her and she spit the frog back at me, it looked like the biggest fish I have seen this year by far.
Several smaller fish hit the frog but didn't seem to be big enough to eat it.
