Build your own Kayak Cart for under $20

I have seen similar excercises performed before, but I thought I would post my own design. I purchased all my materials for under $20 and spent about an hour building the cart. If you're on a shoestring budget or you just like to build things yourself(me), this is a pretty simple way to go.
First, I took four 3/4 inch PVC schedule 40 T's, two pieces of 12" pipe and two pieces of 6" pipe, and glued them together in the following configuration. I made sure the width of the frame matched the width of the scupper holes I plan to use.

Then I took two 8" pneumatic wheels that I bought at Harbor Freight for $4 apiece, and mounted one on a piece of 1/2" galvanized steel rod. I used a small stainless pipe clamp to secure the wheel from sliding off the axle rod.

I then slid the pvc frame over the rod and capped it off with the other wheel, again using a pipe clamp to secure it from sliding off the axle. After a quick coat of paint, it's all done. The cart fits through the scupper holes in the back of the kayak and sure makes that long pull through the grass or sand a lot easier.

Looks cool, will it work on my bay boat?

Sure, I'll come by and drill out the scupper holes tonight.

Did mine today. I'll post pics later, still consoling my 5-year old.
Seems some yahoo jacked the pink wheels off her Barbie car.
