I noticed that one of my 14.4 v batteries didn't want to take a charge this weekend. Been looking for good deals on some replacements and ran across a couple of folks who were supposedly selling the secrect to how you can shock em out of cardiac failure. Anybody familiar with this process who can explain it? Thanks.

YEP.
Discharge the battery as much as possible.
Then put it in the freezer for 12 hours. That is 12 hours only.
Then...after it warms to room temp.
Recharge the batt.

Or use a charger the will condition the battery before it charges the battery. I think it deionizes the sulfate from the plates then reionizes or something like that. been a long time since my biology/organic chemistry classes!!

Thanks for the tips. BB, the battery came with a saw, drill, and charger that are all Ryobi. I don't know if the charger preforms the function you describe or not. I saw one video of a fellow who was hook'n dead batteries up to a welder and shock'n em with about 30 V of DC.
I checked with the battery source yesterday and they said they would rebuild it for $50-60 dollars

....I can buy new cells and put em in myself or by a replacement cheaper than that!!
