3 of us ventured out of mighty Aucilla yest. hoping for some big fish. It didn't take long, we went east and got 3 nice reds to 24'' on white gulps, also a nice blue(released) and a big garfish(also released!) :o When bite stopped there, went west looking for trout. Water a little rough, wind started out in the north and eased over to the south before long. Managed 8 trout to 20'', 5 big sea bass, a flounder, and a good 3.5 ft. blacktip which we field dressed for the trip home. So with our 3 reds, we had a nice boxful of quality fish. :lick: Fished 7 hrs., never got much water movement and had to move several times and just drift in the wind mostly. Also had a nice cobe make a good run around the boat before throwing the hook, my first cobe hookup this year. :smt010 It was a good day, caught most fish on all different color gulps. One color werked for a while and you could switch to another and do just as good. No real pattern on color. I think James caught one small trout on an electric chicken. We also caught several other sharks and many ladyfish along with the usual 4-5 hardheads we always seem to boat. Water temp was about 76 deg. and we fished mostly 5-6 ft. water over spotty bottom. Can't wait to go back, now I gotta have a big fishfry. :lick:
