Good Morning, I have heard that you can make a very productive chum using cat food and menhaden oil. Is there a specific type of cat food that works better? Do you use just dry, just canned or a mixture of each? I plan on making a dispenser by using a section of PVC pipe drilled and a couple of clean outs. Any info on this topic would be helpful. Hope to see you on the water tomorrow.

Well, I have the oil so all I would need to do is swing by Wally World and get the kitty food. Want me to bring a batch?

Sure, might as well. Have you got something you can seal it up in?

Mix up some jack mackerel in it too.

I don't have no mackeral, Jack.
What is that anyway, canned cat food? Any suggestions on relative quanties for this growing list of ingredients? A little fresh basil and maybe some dill would go nicely I think.

No, they sell it next to the canned tuna and potted meat in the store.
It looks like this...
As for quantities, I have no idea. I don't think you can mess it up. I would try to keep it fairly pasty and not too loose (I knew a girl like that once).
As long as you have a container, you can seal up, just add stuff till it looks right.

And be sure to save enough back for dinner in case you don't catch any fish.

Tom, the "Fairly pasty, and not too loose girl" that you used to know. Did she live in Woodville. I think I met her at Poseys one Sat. night.
