I have been looking for some lightweight trolling batteries for my little boat and I am having a time with it. I called Ray Glass Battery source in Thomasville, Ga and not only did they not know their azz from a hole in the ground about batteries, they were extremely rude to boot. I asked them if they carried Interstate batteries. The guy said, NO. Not No Sir but we do carry.........? I then asked for a comparable trolling battery that may be lightweight. The guy I was talking to said he didnt know about marine batteries so he'd let me speak to Ron. Guy sounded like Archie Bunker in Alcoholic Rehab. I asked him " What battery do you have that is lightweight and comparable in performance to an Interstate? He said if I wanted an Interstate to go to Napa. Before I started handing out choice words, I told him nevermind and I appreciated his time. :smt011 :smt012 :smt009 :smt011 :smt012 All I know is "ol Archie best be glad he dont work for J.P., or he'd be job free!!! Is there anybody on the site who can recommend a lighter battery or If not, is there a club or forum member who sells interstates?? Nothing, and I mean Nothing, chaps my azz like bad service and Mr Ray Glass battery store man has sho got plenty!! :hammer: :smt013

Glass battery store is some rude dudes. Known for it, we don't trade there. Especially after the way they were rude to my wife.

If you find some lightweight trolling batteries, let us know! :D

How does 38 pounds per battery sound?
Not cheap but they last like 10 years.

BB, just drop 50# off yo big azz and go with the Delco Voyagers. The group size 27's are available at Cairo Auto Supply for around $85. Best battery I've ever used.

My odyssey starting bat. weighs 13lbs and can run the livewell all day. Not enough for troller duty but they make one that will.
