Feeling a little under the weather, I decided to leave work around lunch. Got to put the Panga to the test in the channel yesterday. There was a moment where I was slightly concerned but that dissippated as my fishing partner was hooting and hollaring have a good time riding the roller coater of waves. Since its such a shallow draft, the ride was a little rough but surprisingly drier than expected. Though, I did get a little wet cutting across.

We headed east and caught a bunch of trout, a ladyfish, and a snot cat. Everything was released. Boated 4 in the 18" + range. Fish were hungry for jig-tipped Gulp. White was the ticket although molting, mango, and nulcear chicken worked as well. Caught a few on jerk baits.

MAN THAT SOUNDS GREAT, THOSE PANGA BOATS ARE GREAT. I HAVE FISHED OUT OF ONE FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND WE HAD SOME REAL ROUGH WEATHER , AND THE BOAT CUT THROUGH 3-5 SEAS AND ABOUT THE ONLY WATER WE GOT WAS FROM THE WIND BLOWING SPRAY BACK ACCROSS THE BOAT. GLAD YA GOT TO CATCH A FEW. I CAN NOT WAIT TO GET BACK DOWN ON THE FLATS.
PA THE OLD MAN OF THE SEA :D :D :D

Not a bad trip, and leaving werk to go makes it even better. Hey, Pa, how is your wife doing?

Sure wish I lived close enough to get off work and head the water for some afternoon/evening fishing.
