Our club fished our monthly tournament on Talquin, Saturday.

I found a sweet spot early and limited by 8 A.M. I managed to upgrade 4 of my 5 fish during the day.

The fish that were caught early came on a rattle trap and a Texas rig. The rest of the fish came on a Carolina rig around sand bars.

Fast Freddie won the tournament with 14.68 pounds. I finished second with 12.11 pounds. Still a good points day.

 Well done, TC! Glad you are getting some fresh water bass fishing in the veins. I share your delight, too, in fishing the fresh water lakes and rivers - although, Lake Talquin has been a cold hearted lady to me at times (but, I admit I do not fish her often enough to learn her secrets). :smt004 I am planning a Flathead Catfish trip over to the Flint River this week with my partner, Gene. It's the time of year to fish for the big kitty's in the Georgia side of things. :lick:

Between 4' and 10 feet. The later in the day, the deeper.
