Made our annual Memorial Day weekend trip to Mexico Beach with cousins Jamie, Angie ,and Nick McCorkle and took Bow'd Up for a little fishin action. Saturday, got a late start with a boat load. Bow'd toted 4 adults and 2 yungins out of the city ramp at PSJ around 11am. Had the two women on the back casting deck in lounge chairs soaking up some rays while the 4 men folks tried to fish off of the front deck...............very interesting day to say the least as all had to keep a sharp vigil for flying hooks. Lil Bow'd and cousin Nick fished hard for both trout and pinfish, loading the livewell with bait and Nick landed a 16" trout. We caught several shorts Saturday but only fished four hours and the women were ready to head in. Got out early Sunday with 3 less folks on the boat. Me, Jamie and Nick put in at the city ramp around 7:30 while Lil Bow'd and women decided to sleep in. Caught several shorts and landed my 22.5 incher around 10:30. Headed back to the hill around noon for lunch and adult beverages and a little surf fishing. PSJ Bay still ain't being very nice to me though, lots of chunk and wind, not many fish. Oh well, had fun trying.
sounds like a good weekend Bow'd Up. Saw the boat in front of BlueWater around 10, but I didn't see you. Next time take some of those pins the boys catch and run to the bodies off the point. I was out there about a month ago and we couldn't drop one down without a hit. Mostly short groupers and ARS, but we did find some bull reds as well....
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

Talk about about a derailed thread. Are we still talking fishing?
