GULP Question/Observation

I see GULP packs on the sides of the road, and when I do I usually stop and see if there's anything in them. Hit pay-dirt one day last week. Found one with three GULPs in new penny. Got home and opened the pack in the kitchen.

"Here, Honey, smell this." :-D

"Ewww, take that outside and don't ever do that again!" :smt076

So we, Herself and I, go after trout yesterday and that's what she wants to use. :D

She didn't catch any trout on them, but we didn't catch many trout on anything else, either. And the ones we did catch were small...Anway.

That got me thinking. How edible are these things? Did I just beat the 'coons and critters to this pack, which is why all the other packs I see are empty? If they get eaten, do they digest?

I used the Gulp! chum offshore on Sunday and didn't catch a thing on the surface. The chum looks like the little bits they scrape off of the mold after they are done shaping it into baits. I wouldn't think its all that edible. But bait up a racoon trap with it and let us know what the results are.

My buddy had the chum on his boat, it was a Christmas present.

I had the bright idea once to bite off a small piece to catch pinfish. I had to lick the dogs tail to get that taste out of my mouth.
