RCG and I headed to Panacea Saturday morning for the Kids Clinic and a little fishing.
We launched at Hookwreck's and headed into the wild out yonder. A quick drift with nothing doing right in front of Piney and off in search we went. We found some potholes and started fishing, me with top water and RCG with a suspending plug. Christy hooks something and starts reeling. A few seconds in she says shes hung on the bottom so we drop the trolling motor to try and dislodge it. The bottom starts moving and pulling a little drag. A nice 19" trout meets the net and then the cooler. RCG is starting to like Panacea. We drift the holes and spotty bottom and a decent Spanish hits my Popa Dog. Pretty cool til I saw what it was. Thinking nice trout until he hit the net.

A little while later RCG hooks up with something nice

Her biggest to date. She was stoked.
We fished a while longer and called it a day with a long drive to Keaton.
Sunday we got up a little late and headed out around 8 to slick clam seas and made our 10 mile in no time flat.
We fished some bars without much luck so we moved out from 2 ft to 4 ft to drift back in. Fishing top water and suspending Mirrolures and Renegades. We finally caught a decent sized blue and we went to catch 4 fish on 5 casts. The weather was great but just couldn't find a pattern. One here or there was about the best we could do. Finally caught a couple of keepers from 16"-18". Nothing to write home about but fish none the less.
Fun was had by all and nothing broke.
