DI Shoal 6/5

Got out with a fishing buddy on his big boat and tried our favorite DI Shoal topwater Spanish thing.
Shoulda sent a memo to the Spanish.
None. Any thoughts on where they are?
Found big Blues, Redfish, a lot of Trout, some small Grouper, and Sharks.
Shifted over to a Cobia plan and caught three.
Biggest was 32.999 to the fork.
Fishing is a great thing.
Forecasting wind correctly seems to be a difficult thing to accomplish.

Not many down towd SGI either. We started wearing them out last year from mid-March on. A friend that lives here and fishes all the time told me that the east end of the Island has been strange this year. The east end of SGI hasn't been kind to us this year either, but other areas have. Kinda puzzling. Not as much bait around down there?

The profession of weather forecasting has always fascinated me. It's the only profession I'm aware of where you can be accurate 35% of the time, and not get fired.

To catch Spanish you must become one with the wind, Grasshopper.
