Is there another place to buy accessories for a garmin gps other than west marine and rms in this area.
looking for a cable to download the updated software to my gps

Pops,
It looks like your 182 takes the same AC/PC cable as our 126 does. If you can make it to the NFGFC meeting Thursday, I'll bring the one I have and you can try it out. I've only used it once to make a backup of the waypoints, but since I use my 76S now, I don't really need it.

Thanks, i have just ordered one from the website you gave me.
should i remove the blue chart chip before i download?
Will the waypoints i have installed be lost

I'm not sure about the bluechart chip. You should download everything off the machine first, and save it to your computer.
You may need to read the manual or contact garmin for the exact procedure.
