Hey, I need to drill a few holes for my new Livewell/Washdown pump, and was wondering
if I need to buy a special drill bit or anything?

No. Any wood bit will do. Use one smaller than your screws.

Make it a sharp bit to avoid cracking the gel coat around the hole.

Put masking tape over the area you are going to drill, mark your holes and drill in reverse for a second or 2 to taper the hole and prevent cracking.
