Keep going at speed , give them the most room you can. Slowing down causes bigger waves , longer lasting commotion and dangers your ride. They also may learn not to anchor or fish from channel. Some rivers have little room for both.

According to the laws of physics, whoever has the biggest boat has the right of way.

I fish regularly from both my boat and my kayak, so I try to be consciencious of my wake when it comes to other kayakers. I've had some bad experiences with boaters when I was in a yak just trying to get across a channel. Keep in mind that boaters are responsible for their own wakes and any damages that they create. People anchored near channels are an occasional nuisance, but we all have to get along out there.

It all boils down to some common sense and courtesy. Problem, there are a lot of folks out there who have neither.....
P. S. Let me clarify that I am talking about those who anchor in channels and those who run in channels.....

Why would they be anchored in the channel anyway? Seems like sitting in the middle of the highway to me?? Are there a bunch of fish caught in the channel?

This time of year near a marker chasing Cobia.
In the winter chasing Trout.
At Suwanee Sand Trout and Whiting.
Destin might be Big reds.
Where were they? Was a marker close by? What time of year was it?

I always slow down and idle by them. I teach my Grandkids to do the same. I have boats fly by me when I'm idling through a no wake seacow zone. They are the same people that tie up the boat ramp loading the boat.
