Got out about 10:30, right at high tide so we could fish the falling water. Tried a few unproductive tactics and finally decided to go with the old standby. Topwater. Caught two very nice 18- 19" fish very quick, and we were getting other hits but as all of you know trout ain't the most accurate strikers in the gulf. Had one nice Red come up and out of the water on top of my plug but of course he missed it. The action was pretty good until the wind moved from south/southeast to directly east. It totally shut of after that wind change. Kept pounding the water until a storm started to get close so we took it on in.

Good to see you finally got out on the water. We've got to get together and go sometime. What topwater baits did you use.
